The 'Work Connections... Be the One... Get Hired' job fair is now in its ninth year. The event began when Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB), Toronto District School Board (TDSB) and other local community organizations partnered to host one large annual event. This job fair has given Toronto's school-to-work students the opportunity to network and meet various employers. Students can apply and interview for many entry level positions with various employers. Students can apply and interview for many entry level positions with various companies. Students are also able to connect with the local employment service sector to explore further opportunities.With over 1000 students attending every year, it is Toronto's largest school-to-work job fair.
The organizing committee for 'Work Connections... Be the One... Get Hired' is made up of a group of community organizations. The committee is known as, 'Toronto Schools Youth Employment Partnership' (TSYEP). Members of TYSEP meet on a monthly basis to not only plan for the job fair, but also share information about their organization, programs offered and other related community information.
